Calendar of Pokémon VGC events for the 2024 Season

In this page you will find all major events (Regional-level or above) of the official Play! Pokémon program, as well as all events hosted by Victory Road, for the 2024 season, which begins with the Pittsburgh Regional in September 2023.

All tournaments are expected to be played using Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet, with different regulations depending on their event dates. You will also find whether events will be played with open team sheets (OTS) or closed team sheets (CTS). You can read all rules & regulations that apply to official VGC events on this page.

Sign-ups for all official events are handled online, and mostly require to pay the entry fee online at the moment of sign-up. They may sell out quickly, especially when they’re free. To stay tuned and receive alerts for your favourite events, follow Victory Road on Twitter.

International Championships

International Championships are select events hosted once on each of the main TPCi rating zones since 2017. For the first time since then, the Oceania International Championships (OCIC) has been cancelled and will not happen in the 2024 season.

National Championships

National Championships are the way players in TPC and Pokémon Korea regions qualify to the World Championships, since there is no Championship Point structure here.

South East Asia

Events in South East Asia (this includes Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand) are organized by TPC, and are not part of the CP-based TPCi circuit.

Each country or region within South East Asia has its own system, and Regional Championships are named Regional Leagues. You can find more information about the various systems here.

In previous seasons, Taiwan has been the only region where VGC tournaments have been held in parallel to TCG Regional Leagues, and have been Regional Leagues themselves. Since this season, most TCG Regional Leagues in all regions have featured a VGC side event for the first time, but VGC Regional Leagues in Taiwan have also been downgraded to side events.
