In this page you will find all major events (Regional-level or above) of the official Play! Pokémon program, as well as all events hosted by Victory Road, for the 2025 season, which begins with local events in July 2024 and major events with the Baltimore Regional Championships in September 2024.
All tournaments are expected to be played using Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet, with different regulations depending on their event dates. You will also find whether events will be played with open team sheets (OTS) or closed team sheets (CTS). You can read all rules & regulations that apply to official VGC events on this page.
Sign-ups for all official events are handled online, and mostly require to pay the entry fee online at the moment of sign-up. They may sell out quickly, especially when they’re free! To stay tuned and receive alerts for your favourite events, follow Victory Road on Twitter.

National Championships
National Championships (called Japan Championships in Japan, Trainers Cup Finals in South Korea, and Master Ball Leagues in the rest of Asia) are the way players in TPC and Pokémon Korea regions qualify to the World Championships, since there is no Championship Point structure here.

Regional & Special Championships are the main events through which players can earn the coveted Championship Points (CP) in their way to the World Championships in TPCi regions, while Premier Ball Leagues are their equivalent in TPC regions in Asia!
