Overview
The Hong Kong Premier Ball League is an official TPC Regional-level event for Pokémon VGC. It is the only Regional-level event of the 2025 season in the Hongkongese circuit.
The ruleset is VGC Regulation Set H, and it is played using open team lists.
A little bit of history
Hong Kong has been one of the regions on the official TPC circuit since June 2020, and it was part of the Oceania region of the official TPCi circuit before that. It has hosted multiple major events, including Regional Championships, Special Events, and both TPCi-era and current TPC-era National Championships. Hong Kong’s greatest VGC success was the top 16 achieved by Edward Cheung Ka Hin at the 2016 World Championships.
The most recent tournament held in Hong Kong was the 2024 Hong Kong National Championships, also hosted in Wan Chai and played with the VGC Regulation Set G in June 2024. The finals saw 2022 Hong Kong National finalist Ma Chun Yeung defeat 2-time Hong Kong National semifinalist Choi Yin Fung to win his first major title!
