Apart from the Pokémon obtainable by sending them to visit or recruiting them, Pokémon Champions feature some in-game events or Mystery Gift giveaways that let you catch some Pokémon that would otherwise be very difficult or outright impossible to get. Also, some held items and other in-game resources can be distributed in this way.
