Sign-up instructions

Sign-ups for the event are done through your own Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. To register, enter the Poké Portal → Battle Stadium → Online competitions → Search for a competition (in the Official Competitions column).

You need to register and lock a team at the time of registration.

Sign-ups are open from 6 October at 00:00 UTC*, live at any time until the tournament ends on 12 October at 23:59 UTC.

* NOTE: Sign-ups were originally open from 26 September at 00:00 UTC, but prevented players in TPCi regions from signing up for the Grand Challenge II. On 29 September, TPC announced the removal of sign-ups and the postponement of the sign-up period for Terastal Crescendo until 6 October at 00:00 UTC. Players that had already signed up have their teams unlocked and need to register again.

Platform and schedule

The tournament is held online, in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game, at the Online competitions section of the Poké Portal’s Battle Stadium.

The tournament starts on 10 October at 00:00 UTC. You are able to play up to 15 battles on 10 October, up to 30 battles by 11 October and up to 45 battles by 12 October. You are able to enter any battle until 12 October at 23:59 UTC.

Prizes

This event is an official Online Competition, but is not a part of any 2026 official circuit. This means that it does not reward any Championship Points (CPs).

This is intended as a fun tournament and no prizes are given to the top-ranking players. Any player that finishes at least one battle will receive 300 Dragon Tera Shards, 300 Fighting Tera Shards, 300 Electric Tera Shards and a Master Ball.

Overview

The Terastal Crescendo is an official Online Competition featuring double battles. It is the sixth globally available Online Competition in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games with a custom format, and the fourth played with double battles.

A little bit of history

Online Competitions are usually a part of the casual gameplay, but they have been featured in the official circuit for some years now. They are one of the few tournaments in which all world regions play together, and it generally grants National invites in TPC regions and Championship Points in TPCi regions.

Those that are not part of the official circuits usually run a custom format. The last one of those was the Team Star Challenge, a single-battle Online Competition played in November 2024. The custom ruleset allowed for any Pokémon featured on the teams of Team Star bosses (Giacomo, Mela, Atticus, Ortega, and Eri), and with the restriction that a Revavroom must be selected on every battle. First place was earned by Japanese player Okina, who used this team to finish at a rating of 1886. Okina surpassed fellow Japanese Yuchama, who used this other team to earn a rating of 1846.

The most recent Online Competition featuring double battles was the Blueberry Prologue, played in January 2024. The custom ruleset allowed for any Pokémon in the Blueberry Pokédex. First place was earned by Japanese player Myon, who used this team to finish at a rating of 1905. Myon surpassed Japanese-Australian Masayoshi Kuroo, who used this other team to earn a rating of 1895.

American James Evans, the 2018 Senior Division World Champion, defeated Brazilian Gabriel Agati in the NAIC finals.
