A little bit of history

Germany has been part of the Europe region of the official TPCi circuit for many years. It has hosted multiple major events, including Regional Championships, old-era National Championships and the 2019 and 2022 Europe Internationals. Germany’s greatest VGC success happened when Michael Kelsch reached the finals of theĀ 2023 World Championships.

The most recent tournament held in Germany was the 2026 Stuttgart Regional Championships, played in Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet with the Regulation Set H in December 2025. The finals saw 2024 World Champion Luca Ceribelli defeat 2022 EUIC Champion Eric Rios to win his third major and first Regional Championships title!

The last time there was an event in the state of Hesse was the 2026 Frankfurt Regional Championships, also played in Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet with the Regulation Set H in September 2025. The finals saw Italian player Emanuele Briganti defeat 2025 LAIC finalist Víctor Medina to win his first major title!
