Platform and schedule
The tournament is held online, in your PokĆ©mon Scarlet or PokĆ©mon Violet game, at the Online competitions section of the PokĆ© Portal’s Battle Stadium.
The tournament starts on 13 May 2023 at 9:00 Taiwan time (01:00 UTC), and you are able to enter any battle from 9:00 to 15:00 Taiwan time both on Day 1 (13 May) and Day 2 (14 May). You are able to play up to 20 battles until 14 May 2023 at 15:00 Taiwan time (07:00 UTC).
You need to complete at least 10 battles to be eligible for prizes.
Prizes
This event is an official Online Competition, and is part of theĀ 2023 official circuitĀ in Taiwan.
As a participation prize, any player that finishes at least 10 battles will receive 10,000 League Points.
Additionally, the top 128 players qualify to theĀ 2023 Taiwan National Championships, to be held live in Taipei on 27ā28 May.

Overview
A little bit of history
Taiwan has been one of the regions hosting an the official TPC circuit since June 2020, and it was part of the Oceania region of the official TPCI circuit before that. It has hosted multiple major events, including Regional Championships, Special Events, and both TPCI-era and current TPC-era National Championships. It was the only region in the world to consistently host major live events during the 2020ā2022 seasons. Taiwanās greatest VGC success was Wu PiāsĀ 2019 Junior Division World ChampionshipĀ win.
The most recent tournament held in Taiwan was theĀ 2023 Kaohsiung Regionals, played in the VGC Regulation Set B in March 2023. The finals saw Taiwanese Yang Da-wei defeat 2022 Hong Kong Nationals finalistĀ Ma Chun YeungĀ to achieve his first major title.
AmericanĀ James Evans, theĀ 2018 Senior Division World Champion, defeated BrazilianĀ Gabriel AgatiĀ in the NAIC finals.
