Overview
The Stuttgart Regionals was an official TPCI Regional-level event for Pokémon TCG and Pokémon GO. As previously announced, there would not be official VGC events until 2023. However, it was announced that a VGC side tournament would be played at this event.
After their release on 18 November 2022, this event was the first live tournament played in Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet!
This tournament served as a test for the official VGC circuit comeback scheduled for January 2023.
Since there was no official VGC format as of 28 November, the organizer announced that all Pokémon in the Paldean Regional Pokédex through normal gameplay or events would be allowed in this event except the Paradox Pokémon and the Legendary Pokémon, including the Treasures of Ruin. This ruleset was confirmed to be the official Series 1 on 1 December. Female Indeedee with the move Trick Room, available through Tera Raid Battles and able to be played online, was allowed.
It was also announced on 29 November that this tournament would be played with open teamsheets, which means that every player’s PokĆ©mon’s moves, ability, held item and Tera Type were known to their opponents.
