Global Challenges and the brand-new Grand Challenges are announced!
Global Challenges, played worldwide, will take place monthly from January to April. The brand-new Grand Challenges, restricted to TPCi regions, will be played in September, October, December and May. They share a BFL of 3 and award the same number of CP.
New Regionals & Specials have been confirmed in all regions!
13 majors have been announced all over the world: Vancouver and Milwaukee in North America; Birmingham, Stockholm, Seville and Utrecht in Europe; Rio, Mérida, Fortaleza, Monterrey and Santiago in Latin America; and Perth and Brisbane in Oceania.
TPCi’s Play! Pokémon Tournament Rules Handbook has been updated!
This update includes the new tournament structure for major events, introduces Elo ratings as CP tiebreakers and modifies the tardiness rules to drop players that are over 10 min late.
Changes have been made to the 2025 season CP payouts and BFLs!
The Championship Point payouts of Internationals have been reduced, giving them less weight with respect to Regionals & Specials. The BFL for all majors has been reduced to 5. Also, there will not be Round 1 byes at 2025 Worlds!
