A little bit of history
Germany has been part of the Europe region of the official TPCi circuit for many years. It has hosted multiple major events, including Regional Championships, old-era National Championships and the 2019 and 2022 Europe Internationals. Germany’s greatest VGC success happened when Michael Kelsch reached the finals of the 2023 World Championships.
The most recent tournament held in Germany was the 2026 Frankfurt Regional, also played with the Regulation Set H in September 2025. The finals saw Italian player Emanuele Briganti defeat 2025 LAIC finalist Víctor Medina to win his first major title!
The last time there was an event in the state of Baden-Württemberg was the 2025 Stuttgart Regional, also played with the Regulation Set H in November and December 2024. The finals saw 2016 Birmingham Regional finalist Eden Batchelor defeat 2021 Players Cup III quarterfinalist Francesco Pio Pero to win their first major title!
