Structure
This event was organised collaboratively by The Pokémon Company International (in charge of competitive play in North America, Europe, Latin America and Oceania), The Pokémon Company (in charge of competitive play in Japan and several other Asian countries) and Pokémon Korea (in charge of competitive play in South Korea).
It featured players that achieved the best results in their respective regions in the last official tournaments, played in Series 9. As a result, the following players qualified for the event:
- Enrique Grimaldo, highest-ranked North American player (as resident in the United States) in Pokémon Players Cup IV
- Leonardo Bonanomi, highest-ranked European player in Pokémon Players Cup IV
- Renzo Navarro, highest-ranked Latin American player in Pokémon Players Cup IV
- Luke Iuele, highest-ranked Oceanian player in Pokémon Players Cup IV
- Kohei Fujita, winner of the Pokémon Japan Championships 2021
- Wonseok Jung, winner of the Pokémon Trainers Cup 2021
- Jirawiwat Thitasiri, winner of the Pokémon Asia Players Cup
- Ho Chin-wei, runner-up of the Pokémon Asia Players Cup
This invitational was played as an introduction to Series 11, a ruleset that would start to be played on 1 November, in a best-of-three double elimination format.
